Celebrate the holidays with Cindy Lou Who
Pull up a seat and fill up your cup
‘Cause your favorite little Who is all grown up
The Hive Collaborative will host the regional premiere production of Matthew Lombardo’s hilarious holiday comedy WHO’S HOLIDAY. Originating off-Broadway in 2017, this wildly funny, heartfelt, and adults-only solo show tells the story of Cindy Lou Who, now all grown up and residing in a beaten-down trailer in the snowy hills of Mount Crumpit, as she recalls (in between bong rips) that Christmas Eve she first met the Grinch and the twists and turns her life has taken since. The New York Times said “the show belongs to the evergreen subgenre of holiday offerings that proffer to dirty up Christmas while ultimately reveling in its spirit,” while Broadway World predicted the show would send its audience away with “a warm smile and exhausted from laughter.”
Kim Kivens will take on the role of Cindy Lou Who after a star turn as Miss Lynch in Chanhassen Dinner Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Grease. Her work has been seen on many stages in town including the Guthrie Theater, Children’s Theatre Company, Theater Latté Da, Minneapolis Musical Theatre, and Six Points Theater, where she performed in the one-woman tour de force What I Thought I Knew. Max Wojtanowicz, whose recent directing credits include Minneapolis Musical Theatre (Anyone Can Whistle: In Concert), Lyric Arts (Significant Other), and Artistry (The Sound of Music), will stage the production.
