She’s My Most Intimate Friend: Songs of the Pansy Craze is a tribute to the often-forgotten crusaders of the queer underground cabaret movement of the 1920s and 1930s. Max Wojtanowicz will sing songs made famous by gay musician Bruz Fletcher and early female impersonators Karyl Norman, Gene Malin, and Julian Eltinge, with Wesley Frye on piano. All proceeds will go to Queermunity, a community space and café in Minneapolis offering queer-affirming resources and events.

In the premiere of their first ever solo show, Em Adam Rosenberg weaves personal narrative together with the familiar fable, “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” This new work explores childhood mischief, the importance of truth, and the impact of traumatic events on our lives.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
The Midway Cabaret All Ages Variety Drag Show

When a child spends unsupervised time with a stranger, a mother spirals into obsessive “what ifs,” blurring the line between reality and paranoia.

Film Noir Tosca
The Republic has fallen. The military is in charge. The former president is on the run, being hunted by the corrupt Chief of Police, Baron Scarpia. Floria Tosca is the premier opera diva of the time. Mario Caveradossi is a local painter and Tosca’s lover. When Baron Scarpia is found dead in his office, a detective is called in to investigate. He must untangle how these two artists found themselves on the front lines of a political uprising.

The Trail to Oregon
THE TRAIL TO OREGON! - Originally Produced by StarKid Productions
Inspired by the prolific Minnesota created video game, The Trail to Oregon! is a hilarious, interactive musical by StarKid Productions that parodies the classic video game, following a dysfunctional pioneer family's absurd journey west filled with dysentery, bandits, and exploding cows, where audience choices (naming characters, plot points) dictate the chaotic adventure, often leading to dark humor and unexpected deaths.
Not Your Mother's Silent Night
Roz Prickel returns for another year of festivity at the Hive! Well known is Roz's love of the holiday season, but what is less well known is that she has curated her own original christmas music over the years. Enough to fill an entire album or even to make a full length musical one day! For now, it's just exciting to gather for an evening and hear them all along with the stories behind the music. It is truly the perfect way to traipse through what she affectionately calls "Bermuda Triangle Week." Nothing like original tunes and good clean humor to get you safely though that pesky time between Christmas and New Years without a scratch.

A celebration of the bold experiment that sparked modern American theater. This original production brings to life the early days of the Provincetown Players—an extraordinary group of writers and dreamers who gathered on the Massachusetts coast in 1915 to question convention, explore radical ideas, and invent a new dramatic form. Featuring three one-act plays by Neith Boyce, Susan Glaspell, George Cram Cook, and their contemporaries—along with new material by Minnesota playwright James Lundy—Playing Provincetown revisits the revolutionary spirit that transformed the stage forever.

Soap-Prov’s Valentine’s Variety Special
Celebrate this Valentine’s with Soap-Prov: An Improvised Soap Opera for an evening of laughs, drama, love triangles, betrayals, and smooches.
Featuring the beloved Cupid Lucas, ready with the wisdom of love, chocolate strawberries, and champagne, accompanied by improvised musical serenades. Opening act Shakesqueer: I Love Thee So, February 12th, and Blackout Improv: Love and Laughs, February 13th-14th. An arousing short film for commercial break, an exclusive trailer of Soap-Prov’s pilot episode, and a one-of-a-kind live 45-minute improvised soap opera performance!

The "Prelude to the Premiere" features arias and choruses from 20th- and 21st-century operas that form the rich foundation upon which Rudoi has built for All in Time, performed by members of the opera chorus.

Jordan is a future director of big budget films. When looking in the desert for the perfect place to shoot her first movie, a UFO crashes to the ground nearby, and out falls an alien! The two become fast friends and set out on a hilarious adventure to make movie magic. Cosmic snacks, poisonous air, and a mysterious cowgirl - grab your hoverboard and join us for an out-of-this world ride! Performed by neurodivergent actors and centered on disability joy, come out for our opening weekend at The Hive before we take to the road and begin touring our show around MN. Join us for a round of your favorite drink, pop, water, mocktail, tears, blood… Well blood gets sticky and tears are salty, so let’s stick to the usuals and leave the rest to the cast as they bring this movie to life!
