SKYLIGHT presented by WILD SET THEATER
WILD SET THEATER presents a staged reading of SKYLIGHT by David Hare
Directed by Jess Yates | Featuring Pete Colburn, Marci Lucht and Rayyan Khan
Skylight is a powerful and acclaimed play about former lovers Tom and Kyra, whose lives have diverged due to social class and political differences, set during a tense, emotionally charged reunion at Kyra's low-income flat. On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis receives two unexpected visits. One from Edward Sergent, a struggling college student. The other, from his father and Kyra's former lover, Tom Sergeant. Tom is a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the evening progresses, the two find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires.
This tragic love story examining wealth, inequality and forbidden love is not to be missed.
(Not) An Ordinary Bike Ride by Michael Wolfe
A simple bike ride to Stillwater takes an unexpected turn, leaving the rider stranded and searching. The Bike Ride is a solo performance that transforms misadventure into meditation: on the vulnerability of asking for help, the resilience of humor, and the defiant grace of holding two truths at once—that life can be hard, and still beautiful. With warmth, wit, and candor, the piece reminds us that hope is not naïve, but a practice—a way of moving forward even when the path feels uncertain.
